Bolt.new app rescue
Your Bolt project outgrew the chat window. We'll take it from here.
Bolt builds fast because it works with a limited window of context. That's also why big Bolt projects start to wobble: once the app is larger than what the agent can hold in view at once, it forgets earlier decisions, duplicates logic, and patches one file in a way that quietly breaks another.
We pick up where the agent loses the thread. We get your project into GitHub, map what's really there, consolidate the duplicated patterns, secure the database and payments, and hand back an app that's ready for real users, on Bolt Cloud or hosting of your choice.
What you get
What we fix in Bolt apps
Consistency across the codebase
Duplicated components, three ways of fetching the same data, and half-finished refactors consolidated into one pattern, so each change lands in one place.
Database and access rules
Whether you use Bolt Database or Supabase, every table checked so users can only reach their own data, with sensible indexes for real volumes.
Auth and payments
Sign-up, login, and password reset hardened; Stripe access driven by verified webhooks instead of redirects.
A real deployment
Code in your GitHub, separate staging and production, a custom domain, backups, and monitoring, on Bolt Cloud or on Netlify, Vercel, or your own cloud.
The features the agent couldn't finish
Roles and permissions, admin tools, emails, and integrations built with the whole codebase in view.

Why big Bolt projects get stuck
It's not that the AI got worse. The project got bigger than the window it can see.
- Limited context. Bolt works with recent conversation and a slice of your files. Past a certain size it starts losing earlier instructions, and eventually reports that the project is too large to process.
- Pattern drift. Each session solves the problem in front of it, so the same thing ends up built several different ways across files.
- Hidden coupling. A fix in one file relies on behaviour in another the agent can't currently see, which is why regressions appear in unrelated places.
A human engineer can hold the whole system in view, and that's most of what a Bolt rescue is: reading everything once, then making it consistent.
Proof
We've shipped this.
A large single codebase with 48 data models and real-time features, kept consistent and maintainable by one team: the discipline a big Bolt project needs.
Worth knowing
Signs your Bolt project needs a developer
- Bolt says the project is too large, or asks you to remove files to continue.
- The agent keeps forgetting decisions you made earlier in the chat.
- Fixing one bug creates a new one somewhere unrelated.
- You're spending more tokens undoing changes than making progress.
- It works on its bolt.host address, but you need a custom domain, staging, and backups before launch.
- Payments or logins behave differently each time you test.
Two or more of these means the project has outgrown prompting alone. That's normal, and fixable.
How it runs
How a Bolt rescue runs
- 01
Export & audit
3–5 working daysYour project pushed to a GitHub repo you own, then a full read-through: architecture, duplicated logic, database rules, secrets, auth, and payments. Written fix list, one fixed price.
- 02
Consolidate & secure
1–2 weeksDuplicated patterns merged, data access locked down, secrets moved server-side, and tests added on the critical paths.
- 03
Fix & finish
2–5 weeksRemaining bugs and features in weekly demos, built with the whole codebase in view.
- 04
Launch & hand back
launch + 30 daysProduction hosting, staging, custom domain, backups, and monitoring, plus 30 days of post-launch fixes and a map of the codebase for whoever works on it next.

Questions
Before you get in touch.
No. It means the project is bigger than what the agent can process at once, not that the code is unusable. A developer working in the exported code doesn't have that limit.
Yes, if you want to. A more consistent codebase is easier for the agent to work with too. Many founders move to a developer-led workflow once the product has paying users, and we can help with either.
It depends on your traffic, compliance needs, and budget. Bolt Cloud is fine for many apps; we move you only if something specific requires it, and the audit explains the trade-off.
One fixed price after the audit, paid in milestones. Most Bolt rescues take a few weeks.
Yes: Lovable, Replit, v0, Cursor, and more. See AI-built app rescue.
Not sure what you need yet? That's the usual starting point.
Tell us the problem in your own words. We'll scope it with you and put the plan in writing, free, and yours to keep either way.
