Replit app rescue

Your Replit app works. Now make it production-grade.

Replit Agent does something remarkable: it writes the code, provisions the database, manages the secrets, and publishes the app, all from one chat. That convenience is also the catch. Everything your app depends on lives inside one platform, configured by an agent, and nobody has reviewed how it fits together.

We audit Replit apps and fix what the agent got wrong. Then we either harden the app where it is, if Replit's hosting suits your scale and budget, or move it cleanly to infrastructure you control, with every piece accounted for.

What you get

What we fix in Replit apps

An inventory of what the app really uses

Code, database, file storage, secrets, auth provider, connectors, and deployments listed and documented, because the code is only one part of a Replit app.

Database health

Connection pooling, migrations that run on deploy, indexes for real data volumes, and a clear line between development and production data.

Security review

Hardcoded secrets, unprotected routes, and auth gaps found and fixed, on top of Replit's own automated scan.

Hardening in place, or a clean migration

Stay on Replit with production settings and backups, or move code, database, files, and secrets to Vercel, AWS, GCP, or another host, without losing data or users.

Finishing the product

The features and edge cases the agent skipped, built with tests on the flows that make you money.

  • Node.js
  • Python
  • TypeScript
  • PostgreSQL
  • Stripe
  • AWS

Why Replit migrations need care

Moving a Replit app isn't just downloading the code.

  1. More than files. Deployments, domains, connectors, and secret values don't come with the code when you copy a project out, so each one has to be recreated on the new host.
  2. Uploaded files. User uploads in Replit's App Storage don't show up in the file tree and need their own export, which is easy to miss until images start disappearing.
  3. User accounts. How accounts move depends on the auth your app uses (Replit Auth, Clerk, or your own), so it's planned before cutover rather than discovered after it.

Sometimes the right answer is to stay. If Replit's hosting fits your traffic and budget, we'll harden the app where it is and tell you so.

Proof

We've shipped this.

A production system with a real-time backend, many locations, and an uptime requirement: the infrastructure discipline a Replit app needs once real customers depend on it.

Worth knowing

Signs your Replit app needs a developer

  • You're seeing database connection errors or timeouts as traffic grows.
  • You're not sure whether you're testing against live data.
  • Secrets or API keys are sitting in the code rather than in Secrets.
  • A customer or investor is asking about security or compliance.
  • Costs are climbing and you can't tell which part of the setup is driving them.
  • The agent keeps solving the same problem in circles.

None of these mean Replit was the wrong choice. They mean the app has become a product.

How it runs

How a Replit rescue runs

  1. 01

    Inventory & audit

    3–5 working days

Every service the app uses mapped, code and database reviewed, secrets and auth checked. Written fix list, a stay-or-move recommendation, and one fixed price.

  2. 02

    Secure & stabilize

    1–2 weeks

Security issues fixed, database connections and migrations sorted, and production data separated from testing.

  3. 03

    Harden or migrate

    1–3 weeks

Production settings and backups on Replit, or a staged move of code, database, files, and secrets to your chosen host, with a rollback plan.

  4. 04

    Finish & hand back

    varies, then 30 days

Remaining features in weekly demos, monitoring in place, 30 days of post-launch fixes, and documentation of the whole setup.

Questions

Before you get in touch.

No. Many apps run well on Replit's hosting. We recommend moving only for a specific reason, such as compliance, cost at your scale, or infrastructure Replit doesn't offer, and the audit explains the trade-off.

Deployments, domains, connectors, secret values, and files in App Storage all need separate handling. We inventory each one before moving anything, so nothing is lost.

Not if the migration is planned properly. How accounts move depends on the auth provider your app uses, and we plan that before cutover so nobody gets locked out.

One fixed price after the audit, paid in milestones. Hardening in place is usually quicker than a migration; the audit tells you which you need.

Not sure what you need yet? That's the usual starting point.

Tell us the problem in your own words. We'll scope it with you and put the plan in writing, free, and yours to keep either way.
